CA Area Trivia Night

This is a fundraiser for the Capitol Area and will be held at Ashley Manor Reception Hall in Baton Rouge, LA.

Throughout the night you will be inspired as you hear from Special Olympics Louisiana athletes and parents why they believe in the power of our movement. You will be asked to give in a way you believe can offer a higher quality of life for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Capitol Area.

This is an event for the Florida Parishes Area. Male and female athletes from the area will compete. To play, coach or volunteer for this event see your area contacts.

2019 State Bowling

This is an event for athletes who qualified at their respective areas. Male and female athletes from across the state will compete in Bowling at the Area level in hopes to qualify to participate in this event, State Bowling. For more information in regards to qualifying please contact your Area Team Leader.

2019 Polar Plunge Gonzales

Polar Plunge Gonzales will be held on February 16, 2019 at Cabela's in Gonzales. Registration starts at 8:30 AM.

Please note there is a $25 registration fee that goes towards the $50 fundraising minimum to plunge. All participants must meet the $50 requirement to plunge.

What is it?   
The Polar Plunge is one of Special Olympics Louisiana’s largest fundraisers all year! With the help of our Law Enforcement Torch Run comrades this event is attracting hundreds of people to an otherwise deserted waterhole in the winter season. Individuals from all walks of life have committed to raise $50 and bear it all for thousands of Special Olympics Louisiana athletes! So sign up today to get a thrill from the chill and join us for our largest plunge yet!

So, who can participate? 
Individuals and teams from businesses and organizations, alongside our athletes and thousands of community members, experience heartwarming and bone chilling extremes as they take the plunge into the icy cold water! (Plungers under the age 14 must have a parent/guardian with them.)

Too chicken to plunge? 
Come watch! If taking an icy dip isn’t for you, then come be a fan of fun! You can donate to a plunger or team or just be a part of the fun as you watch folks run, plunge and freeze for a great cause! The Polar Plunge is open to the public and also features musical entertainment, food, costumes, vendor displays, a silent auction and more. There is no fee to view the event.

What is NOLA Over the Edge: SWAT Edition?

Whether you are fearless or looking to overcome your fears, NOLA Over the Edge: SWAT Edition is the challenge for you!  This event is the ULTIMATE Adrenaline Rush!

Participants will get the opportunity to RAPPEL 25 stories down NOLA's Benson Tower, RIDE in a helicopter & SWAT train with Louisiana's finest at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Training Facility while raising much-needed funds for Special Olympics Louisiana athletes!
