ABOUT COMPETITIONS
Special Olympics Louisiana prides itself on quality state-level competition. Our athletes work hard training and competing at their local levels to get the chance to compete in one or more of our state games or tournaments each year. To give the most ongoing opportunities possible to our athletes, we offer a variety of state games and tournaments throughout the year. Athletes advance to higher levels of competition by meeting established criteria in accordance with Special Olympics policies and procedures. Each sport has different criteria for advancement and guidelines for athlete participation. All competitions must be conducted according to the Special Olympics Sports Rules and the National Governing Bodies. |
