CA Area Trivia Night

This is a fundraiser for the Capitol Area and will be held at Ashley Manor Reception Hall in Baton Rouge, LA.

Throughout the night you will be inspired as you hear from Special Olympics Louisiana athletes and parents why they believe in the power of our movement. You will be asked to give in a way you believe can offer a higher quality of life for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Capitol Area.

State Summer Games

Q:  How has Special Olympics impacted your life?
A: Special Olympics helped me have better communication skills with people and helped me get my job at Popeyes.

Q:  What are your favorite hobbies?
A: I enjoy playing sports, watching the New Orleans Saints, and hanging out with friends. I am known for my famous “wind up” where I get my teammates pumped up.

Q:  Are you employed?
A:  Yes, I have been a cook at Popeyes for 8 years.

Q: Have you ever attended USA Games?
A: Yes, I competed in New Jersey in 2014 and I will compete this year at the 2018 USA Games in Seattle. My favorite memory with Special Olympics is winning a gold medal in New Jersey.
