Special Olympics Louisiana's Board of Directors are responsible for setting the direction of the organization through the development of a long-range plan which sets forth the mission, goals, objectives, actions and plans of the organization; to formulate and establish policies and procedures that enable implementation of the long-range plan and provide direction to the organization for day-by-day operation; to determine the financial needs of the organization, both current and long-range, and to see that these needs are met; and to anticipate and develop plans to meet the financial needs of the organization so as to ensure long-range financial stability.
